The 47-meter (154ft) superyacht Atina has emerged from an extensive refit at FDC Yachts in Turkey, showcasing a stunning transformation that elevates her to new heights of luxury and innovation.
Originally constructed by Heesen in 2008, Atina has undergone multiple name changes throughout her history, previously known as Elandess, Raasta, and most recently, Naseem. In June 2021, she found a new owner who promptly entrusted her for an extensive overhaul, which finished in 2022.
Eight-Month Refit Supervised by Red Yacht Design
The refit, meticulously overseen by Red Yacht Design, spanned eight months and encompassed significant upgrades to both the yacht’s interior and exterior, alongside comprehensive technical enhancements. One of the standout features of the refit is the redesigned deck, which now boasts a larger pool positioned forward of a newly installed navigation mast. Additionally, an expansive bar capable of seating up to 12 guests was added, complete with a television for hosting parties or enjoying sporting events. The bar’s layout was thoughtfully designed to provide the owner with a secluded workspace away from crew activity.
Major Exterior Upgrades and Innovative Additions
The sun deck’s aft area, previously left open with movable loungers, has been reimagined to include fixed sofas and sun pads, offering enhanced comfort and usability. A sleek new hardtop and mast were designed to complement the yacht’s existing superstructure lines, while side windows were installed to protect guests from the wind and increase privacy.
Sun Deck and Aft Area Redesign for Enhanced Comfort
Further modifications include a revamped bridge deck aft, which now features a more spacious lounge area. The yacht’s garage was transformed into a beach club complete with a gym and direct water access via an electric swim ladder integrated into the transom door. Jet Skis are now stored on the foredeck, enhancing the yacht’s functionality.
Revamped Garage, Now a Beach Club with Gym and Water Access
The interior of Atina also received a comprehensive makeover, led by Red Yacht Design in close collaboration with the owner. The upper saloon has been entirely reimagined, with a new entertainment system installed throughout the yacht, ensuring guests enjoy the latest in onboard technology and comfort.
Comprehensive Interior Overhaul for Modern Luxury
In addition to aesthetic upgrades, Atina underwent a full machinery overhaul, including a complete rebuild of her engines and generators, as well as various technical updates in the engine room and wheelhouse. The yacht now accommodates up to 10 guests and nine crew members, ensuring a luxurious experience for all on board.
Machinery and Technical Enhancements for Optimal Performance
Stepping onto the scene with a fresh and luxurious makeover, the superyacht Atina has officially joined the charter market, offering an unparalleled experience for discerning travelers. Following an extensive refit, Atina emerges with unique interiors that exude elegance, featuring five spacious cabins that comfortably accommodate up to ten guests.
